Fun and Fitness Art Walk
Coming this Spring:
The New and Improved FUN AND FITNESS ART WALK will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008! Whether you enjoy fun, fitness, art, or all of the above, this event has something for everyone!
This year's fourth-annual walk, which is sponsored by the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association, will kick off from the Village Hall campus (rain location is at Mount Prospect Library next door). The event will run from 9 am to 3 pm – start the walk when you are ready!
Participants will receive a goody bag while supplies last, along with a map highlighting the participating locations in the immediate downtown area. Stop by all locations, get your map punched, and return it to the kickoff site and be entered into a raffle. You could win one of many great prizes provided by local merchants!
...So what is the Fun and Fitness Art Walk?
- FUN – New this year will be fun activities for children spread throughout the event, coordinated by the local merchants. In addition, several stops will have two or more businesses partnering together to multiply the fun!
- FITNESS – Enjoy a guided walk at your pace through the blossoming Mount Prospect Downtown. Participating businesses include a new women's health club, chiropractors and others committed to a healthy lifestyle!
- ART – Each stop will feature at least one local artist showcasing their work. Mingle with the artist, admire their work. Some artists will have artwork available for purchase. Come see the talent that may be residing in your backyard!
Many locations will provide refreshments and free giveaways. Plan on having breakfast or lunch at one of our local downtown eateries to enhance your event!
